Former Mississippi River Bridge Clearwater County, MN
Larson's Bridge once carried Clearwater Highway 2 across the Mississippi
River. The old one-lane steel truss bridge was removed in 1939 after
the highway was realigned. They removed the bridge, and much of the dirt
that made up the roadbed, leaving only these concrete abutments. They
are still standing nearly 70 years later, though one wing is broken and
listing badly.
