The Champ Clark Bridge is another of the lessor known and less used Mississippi River crossings, with an average of only 5,500 cars per day. This bridge is notoriously narrow, with many reports of people losing mirrors when wider vehicles meet. But this bridge will have to do for now. It is structurally sound, and should last at least another 30 years.

The second and fourth photos show the bridge while it was being repainted in 2005. The first, third, and fifth photos show the 2006 results after it was painted. The bridge is named after James Beauchamp "Champ" Clark, who moved to Missouri after college, started a law practice, and ran for political office. He served as Speaker of the US House of Representatives from 1911 to 1919.
