Note — get out and see this bridge while it is still standing. WI-DOT is building a new bridge just south of this bridge, starting on October 15, 2008, and ending sometime in 2009. The old bridge will remain in operation until the new bridge is ready for traffic. At that time, the old truss bridge will be dismantled, and we will have lost yet another of the big metal monsters.
