NASA Glenn Visitor Center Cleveland, OH
Apollo Skylab 3 command module is on display at the NASA Glenn Visitor
Center, located at the Great Lakes Science Center on the lakefront in
Cleveland. The photo above is from the 1990s when the NASA Glenn Visitor
Center was located at the NASA Lewis Research Center, later renamed the
NASA John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field, after astronaut and
Senator John Glenn. The visitor center was moved to the Science Center
in 2010 after being closed in 2009 in an effort to cut the public relations
budget. While that reduces access to the center by the general public,
it vastly improved public access to the exhibits.
