Air Mobility Command Museum Dover, DE
The photo above is the C-124A Globemaster II on display at the Air Mobility
Command Museum in Dover, Delaware. This aircraft was formerly on display at
the Strategic Air Command Museum when it was located in Bellevue, Nebraska.
The Strategic Air Command was disbanded in the mid-90's, and the museum was
moved to Ashland, Nebraska into a purpose built building. At that time, the
Strategic Aerospace Museum decided not to move the C-124 and C-133 aircraft.
These aircraft were turned over to the Air Mobility Command Museum, adjacent
to Dover AFB. The photo below is the C-124A on the ramp at the old SAC
Museum in the early 1990s.
