SR-71 Blackbird
Evergreen Aviation Museum
McMinnville, OR

SR-71

SR-71 on loan to NASA. 832 is the NASA tail number for the aircraft serial numbered 61-7971. NASA Dryden is located on the east end of the main base at Edwards AFB.

This photo is 832 in its NASA days on display at the annual Edwards AFB Open House and Air Show in the early 1990’s.

Update—832 has been moved to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. As of early 2003, the Blackbird is on public display. Evergreen Aviation is a largely unknown but huge air freight carrier. The owner established an air museum a few years ago, and the museum gained international recognition when it obtained and moved the Spruce Goose from Los Angeles to Oregon.
