Minneapolis Camden Community Neighborhood Boundary Signs

Cleveland
The Cleveland neighborhood is named in honor of President Grover Cleveland,
the only President to serve two non-consecutive terms in office.

Folwell
Folwell is named after Folwell Park, which is named in honor of Dr. William
Folwell, the first president of the University of Minnesota.
This neighborhood was not signed as of the spring of 2008.

Lind - Bohanon
The Lind-Bohanon neighborhood is named after the Jenny Lind Community School
and nearby Bohanon Park. Jenny Lind school is named in honor of the Swedish
opera singer. Bohanon Park is named after the Bohanon family, who were
a neighborhood founding family. Lind-Bohanon has erected a monument style
sign rather than using steel street signs.

McKinley
McKinley is named after McKinley Elementary School. The school is named in
honor of President William McKinley.
This neighborhood was not signed as of the spring of 2008.

Shingle Creek
The Shingle Creek neighborhood is named after Shingle Creek, which flows
through the neighborhood. Single Creek was given its name when the first
shingle mill to be built in Hennepin County was built at the mouth of the
stream in 1852.

Webber - Camden
The Camden neighborhood is named after Camden, New Jersey, for reasons that
I am not yet aware of. The name Webber was added to the neighborhood name
in 1995. Webber is named for Webber Park and Webber Parkway, which is named
in honor of Charles Webber, who donated a parcel of land for the park.

Victory
Victory is named after Victory Memorial, a park and monument dedicated to
those who served in World War I.
This neighborhood was not signed as of the spring of 2008.
